Jim Thompson Art Center

Stylish Arts and Culture

The spanking new building that houses Jim Thompson Art Center boasts an eye-catching façade of stylish orange bricks. As one of the hottest spots to be seen at, this is a place for Bangkok’s local and international arts and cultural communities to come and mingle. Situated in the same compound with the Jim Thompson House Museum, the Center hosts activities such as parties, events, seminars, lectures, and workshops alongside its core exhibitions. As Jim Thompson is the name synonymous with silk, exhibitions featured relate to Southeast Asian textiles.

Another facility in this building is the William Warren Library. Named after the man who personally knew Jim Thompson and who also wrote the late entrepreneur’s biography, the library provides books, magazines and DVDs that are related to the life of Jim Thompson, this including his interests in architecture, arts, culture, design, travel, antiques, paintings, sculpture and textiles.
